Trend Micro (TYO: 4704 , NASDAQ: TMIC) is a Taiwanese company that develops software to protect against computer viruses. Steve Chang, a Taiwanese, the founder and former CEO of the company, started the company in California in 1988. Its headquarters are in Tokyo. In 2004 Chang passed leadership to Eva Chen, co-founder of Trend Micro. She was CTO from 1996 to 2004. One of her best known developments is Trend InterScan Virus Wall.
