Question

What does a steering control arm do?

Answer

In automotive suspension, an A-arm or "wishbone" is a nearly flat and roughly triangular member (or sub-frame), pivoted in two places to the frame and in one place to the hub or axle. Two such devices per wheel make up double wishbone suspension, while one A-arm per wheel makes up a part, usually the lower part, of MacPherson strut suspension or of various other configurations.
