How many hours in a year?

The similar "man year" concept is used on very large projects. It is the amount of work performed by an average worker during one year. Obviously, the number of hours worked by an individual during a year varies greatly according to cultural norm(s) and economics, but a business man year for management purposes seems to hover around 2000 man hours.
