Chinese Jump Rope is a universal game. European children call Chinese Jump Rope Gummitwist, which involves jumping over and on a rubberband in defined patterns. It is popular among young girls in Germany, Austria, Italy and countries of ex-Yugoslavia. In New Zealand and Great Britain children refer to the game as "Elastics".
