Has Knight Ridder been sold?

On April 26, 2006, it announced that the San Jose Mercury News, Contra Costa Times, Monterey Herald, and St. Paul Pioneer Press (for antitrust reasons) would be sold to MediaNews Group (with backing from the Hearst Corporation) for $1 billion.
